Love Generator is a “shake-your-ass”, everlasting gobstopper taste of Jaime Dolce’s Innersole … soulful, funky, nasty and with a sweet center full of love. Jaime’s sound is a unique result of a lifetime of living and loving music - of Hendrix, of the Blues, Funk, Reggae and much, much more (I can also hear hints of the Meters, Stevie Wonder, Radiohead, Allman Brothers, ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Joe Cocker, Little Feat and even Prince - what do you hear? What did I miss?).

Jaime - like Robert Johnson, one of his influences - is a human jukebox with guitar and songwriting skills honed through years of performance (I roadied for him when he first came to Italy) to take in different musical styles, play them authentically and also blend them in his own way and make them his own and make you move your body. His work never feels like a copy or derivative but is instead some new thing that he pulled out from inside even as the influences are visible and true and feel familiar.

What is always at the heart of his songs is a virtuosic guitar that he uses effortlessly and sometimes percussively - like it’s part of his body (if you have the pleasure to see him live - you’ll see that). He then mirrors this with his voice, and then, throughout this album, his bandmates match him masterfully and riff and play variations in their own voices on his themes helping to further shape the songs in fun and unexpected directions - creating a feeling of togetherness that makes each song feel like the band is letting you in on a special time with them (a Love Generator if you will). The lyrics are often about love, loss and rough times but what comes through is a soulful, bluesy, funky spoonful of sweet (and sometimes bittersweet) love that’ll get into your soul if you let it - a reflection of who they are and how they play.
